Kojo Antwi rounds up another successful year with 24th December Concert at the National Theatre

Report on up-coming annual end of year concert by Ghanaian Music legend Kojo Antwi.

If Ghanaian Music legend, Kojo Antwi showed any signs of slowing down a relentlessly successful and revolutionary, 30 year long Music career, there is absolutely nothing to suggest that. At least based on his mileage and schedule for 2014, which will come to a head with his now iconic annual 24th December concert. This event which has held for a few years now, is billed once again to hold, to the delight of the maestro’s teeming fans.

The National Theatre will see Kodjo + friends relive a catalogue of music that has propelled him into the annals of not just Ghana’s finest, but one of Africa’s finest singer/song-writers. Its been an awesome year for this soft-spoken, unassuming, but immensely cerebral and conscious man. If his only accolade was having a legend concert dedicated to him on November 1, of which his songs were performed by another African music icon, Yvonne Chaka-Chaka, that would have been more than enough, but to add to that, several sell-out concerts, both in Ghana and Internationally, as well as running one of Ghana’s most successful Radio Stations, our genuine respect and admiration for Antwi becomes understandable.

Here’s looking to an epic performance from “Mr Music Man” on 24th December, at the National Theatre, Accra, Ghana.
